Get ready, because Game of Thrones season eight it hitting your screens on April 14, 2019.
And it’s about time. Seriously.
Someone has to take their place on that uncomfortable looking sword chair, and those walkers can’t walk forever.
But on to what you came here for – HBO has stopped teasing us and released the official trailer for the final season, and it looks epic.
One word – DRAGONS:
At the time of writing, the trailer has been viewed over 18 million times in less than 24 hours, and the tweet revealing the new trailer has been retweeted over 300 000 times, with more than 23 million views.
Clearly, people have been waiting for this for a while.
If the trailer wasn’t enough to keep you going until April, or if you just have to know what it all means, TIME did an in-depth analysis of what they think the series has in store for us. Just be warned, it could contain spoilers.
You can read that here.
According to GamesRadar, the final season will have a couple of spin-offs, including a Game of Thrones prequel, so you don’t need to cry too deeply when it all ends.
In the meantime, we all know how hard it is to keep the full cast of around a million characters and intersecting plotlines straight, so why not get a headstart and binge watch seasons one to seven, available in full on Showmax.
Like I said – get ready!
