Hot on the heels of the recently released controversial Michael Jackson documentary, Leaving Neverland, the Neverland ranch is back on the market.
Seems like an odd choice, especially in light of damning footage and evidence that marks the property as the site of alleged sexual abuse.
Since Jackson’s death, it has been renamed “Sycamore Valley Ranch”, and has been revamped and renovated. After not finding success with an asking price of $100 million in 2015, it came down in price to $67 million.
Now it’s back with a $31 million price tag, reports Forbes. Let’s take a look at the property, jointly owned by Jackson’s estate and a fund managed by Colony Capital:
Since Jackson’s death almost ten years ago, there have been a number of upgrades to the infrastructure. They have kept some of the features Jackson added to the 2,700-acre property, such as the train, fire department building and extensive topiary garden that spells out the name of the property in bright yellow around a clock.
In total there are three separate guest homes, a movie theater with a stage, several barns, animal shelter facilities, corrals and a maintenance shop. There are also several large water features on the property.
Below is the pool, which features a covered outdoor barbecue and a pool house:
The interior of the house, like the exterior, is done in the French Normandy style:
Here’s a bit of a rough video tour of the property, put online in 2017, that gives you a sense of the size of the property:
With the creepy history attached to the property, and a price tag north of $30 million, it’s probably going to be a tough sell.
