This Sunday, across the pond in Los Angeles, the world’s biggest movie stars will gather to celebrate themselves.
The general consensus is that it’s going to be a trainwreck, with the Daily Beast already labelling it an “embarrassing disaster” in a scathing piece published over the weekend.
No host for the first time since 1989, and disrespect towards some of the awards categories by the Academy itself has people rather disillusioned, and many are hoping for a complete flop.
They may well get their wish, but let’s look at the eight movies nominated for the Best Picture award, with the help of Honest Trailers.
Sure, some of the favourites are panned, but how about that nugget of gold regarding Mike Myers’ appearance in Bohemian Rhapsody, with a throwback to one of the most famous scenes from Wayne’s World?
Can’t say I picked that one up.
