Everyone’s favourite former first lady, Michelle Obama, has been pretty busy since she and Barack left the White House.
She’s written a very successful book which she’s been promoting all over the States, and even took the time to give Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, some sage advice.
Michelle and Meghan’s meeting is just another way that Michelle “shows up for her girls”.
She’s all about sisterhood, which she advocated again when she made a surprise appearance at the Grammys, reports TIME.
Michelle stepped onto the stage alongside Lady Gaga, Jada Pinkett-Smith, host Alicia Keys and Jennifer Lopez to deliver a message about the power of music.
Following her appearance, Michelle was the topic of news and conversation threads across the globe, which is something that her mom really couldn’t care less about in the best possible way.
Mom’s probably quite used to seeing her daughter’s name in the news, I guess.
Here’s the text exchange between Michelle and her mom, Marian Robinson, about the Grammys.
Hey mom, I’m going to be onstage at the Grammys, but I’ll be sure to tell your friends so they make sure you don’t miss it.
It doesn’t matter how famous you get, you can always count on mom to keep you humble.
