Fun fact – Richard E. Grant was born in Swaziland (now Eswatini), which makes him the country’s second most famous export after Swazi Gold.
Another fun fact – he always wears two watches, one of which was given to him by his late father and is permanently set to Eswatini time.
Right, moving on to his vibe with Barbra Streisand, with this below from Vulture:
The actor posted a letter on Twitter that he wrote to Barbra Streisand when he was just 14 years old. Grant, a devoted fan, was living in Africa at the time with his family, and offered his home as a vacation destination for Streisand so she could escape the pressures of fame in scenic Swaziland.
“Please consider this respite seriously,” the teen Grant told Streisand. “You will always be welcome.” Grant signed off by saying he hoped for a “hasty reply”…
He didn’t get one, which led to this tweet:
Lurking outside her house is a little odd, but in the end it worked, because Barbs hit him up on Twitter:
Cute, man.
Richard then continued to fanboy hard:
He was later ‘overcome with emotion’:
I’m happy for everyone involved.
Also, I’m out of Richard E. Grant fun facts, so let’s call it.
