It’s been almost 11 years since former Jackass Steve-O ditched the drugs and alcohol and went sober.
Sure, many revelled in watching his absurd and often dangerous antics, but underneath the facade was a man whose life was falling apart.
You don’t need to look further than the infamous MTV doccie Demise and Rise, which offered some terrifying insight into his state of mind, for a reminder of those dark days.
Now, with the benefit of sobriety and hindsight, Steve-O has opened up during a recent interview for In Depth with Graham Bensinger.
The interview, which is broken up into various parts, gets pretty grim at times, but we’ll start with the segment about how Steve-O ended up snorting HIV-positive blood.

It’s probably not the life you want for your child, but at least Steve-O seems to have come out of the whole experience a better person.
