Get ready! Everyone’s favourite awards show is on the horizon.
Nope, not the Oscars, but rather the 39th Golden Raspberry Awards, or the ‘Razzies’ as they’re more affectionately known.
The Razzies are a chance for redemption – they enact our payback for some of the terrible films and performances that we accidentally watched over the past year by handing out prizes like worst picture, worst actor and worst actress.
Here’s BBC:
This year, Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard are among those ‘honoured’ with a nomination.
Past Oscar winner Dame Helen Mirren has her first Razzie nomination, while husband-and-wife John Travolta and Kelly Preston are also in the running.
Depp is on the list for his voice-acting in Sherlock Gnomes. Travolta played mob boss John Gotti in Gotti, and Preston played his daughter Victoria in the same film, which was savaged by critics.
The most notable nominations this year go to Donald Trump and his wife Mayonnaise Melania, reports EWN.
Donald Trump received a nomination for Worst Actor for his appearance in Michael Moore’s documentary Fahrenheit 11/9 and Dinesh d’Souza’s Death of a Nation.
The US leader and his “self-perpetuating pettiness” also received a nod for Worst Screen Combo, while his wife Melania, was nominated for Worst Supporting Actress for playing herself in Fahrenheit 11/9.
However, the First Lady faces competition for the dubious award from Counselor to the President and former presidential campaign manager Kellyanne Conway, who also got the nod for appearing in Moore’s documentary, alongside Marcia Gay Harden (Fifty Shades Freed).
