A new year means new entertainment, and 2019 looks like its going to be a good one.
The Verge compiled all of the trailers released last week, showcasing the variety out there.
We already covered Spider-Man: Far From Home, but there’s a whole lot to look out for. To simplify things, here are three of the most exciting releases coming your way soon.
First up, the film set to be “one of the year’s biggest, buzziest, and most provocative sci-fi films”:
High Life
High life will be released on April 12.
Fast Colour
Gugu Mbatha-Raw, who starred in Black Mirror’s “San Junipero” is in this, so I’m already sold.
This small-scale sci-fi film is about a group of women with some world-altering powers. It looks like a really intimate take on a sci-fi / superhero-ish origin story, with this trailer’s impending sense of dread suggesting it’ll end up feeling much bigger than it looks.
The film comes out March 29.
Red Joan
Three words: DAME. JUDI. DENCH.
That’s all you really need to know. The fact that she plays a Russian spy is just icing.
Catch Judi on the big screen on April 19.
Definitely, a lot to look forward to.
