Spider-Man is back and better than ever.
Sony and Marvel have released the first trailer for the sequel to 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, called Spider-Man: Far From Home.
The narrative takes place after the events of Avengers: Infinity War where Spider-Man died, and follows Peter Parker and his friends on a summer vacation in Europe.
Also – HE’S ALIVE, and so is Nick Fury, so clearly things are going to work out in Avengers: Endgame.
Suit up:
That trailer alone has racked up 14 million views in less than 24 hours, so there’s obviously quite an interest.
It looks like Iron Man will be sitting this one out. Nice to see Nick Fury back in action, after he turned to dust in the easter egg at the end of the last Avengers film.
Here’s The Verge:
The film will be the latest in a long line of live-action Spider-Man films, and it’s the second in Marvel’s larger cinematic universe.
Sony has long held the rights to the Spider-Man character, starting with 2002’s Spider-Man and its sequels starring Tobey Maguire, which helped kick off the superhero craze in Hollywood.
Toby Mcguire’s anaemic performance made me hate Spider-Man, but I’m back on board with this franchise.
Spider-Man as a teenager makes sense.
This film will be the second in a trilogy, and will be swinging into theatres on July 5, 2019.
