The most touching adverts are usually rolled out around Christmas, and this past year was no different.
The Elton John / John Lewis effort was my pick of the bunch, although France’s Bouygues Telecom also hit their effort out of the park.
We should also mention the viral palm oil commercial, which went wild on social media, although it was released in November.
Now that January’s here, and the Christmas decorations have been taken down, you’d think there might be some respite for the heartstrings, but then Disneyland Paris came along.
More info via BandT:
A new spot for Disneyland Paris is already a frontrunner for cutest ad of 2019.
The spot, the work of famed Parisian agency BETC, follows an adorable little duckling who, after stumbling across a Disney magazine, develops a fascination for Donald Duck.
The ad’s part of Disneyland’s brand campaign “Where Magic Gets Real” and plays out to the classic track The Impossible Dream (The Quest).
Yeah, it’s pretty cute:
Well played, but a long way to go until you rival Chicken Licken.
