The festive season is all about love and good vibes with friends and family.
Sometimes we get so caught up in the festivities, we forget that Mother Nature needs a little love, too.
That’s why Cape Union Mart has teamed up with Greenpop, an environmental partner, to help put some green back into nature.
Cape Union Mart is known as the home of gifts and gadgets, which make for perfect prezzies. The GoPro Hero 5 Black Action Camera, for example, is ideal for recording your adventures out in the wilderness this summer, whilst something like the Leatherman Wave II Multitool will make your outdoorsy friend very happy.
You’ll find those goodies and more in Cape Union Mart’s Festive Season specials, but the perfect companion to the perfect prezzie is the gift of giving back.
When you do your festive shopping at Cape Union Mart you can help give the gift of green by adding R10 onto your purchase. That R10 will go toward planting indigenous South African trees at Greenpop’s Reforest Fest Friends Weekend in March next year.
Cape Union Mart kicked off the festive season early this year by sponsoring 1 000 trees planted at the Hogsback Festival of Trees in September, in association with Greenpop.
That’s not at all shabby, and this video gives you some great insight into how they’ve done it:
Want to know how you can get involved, but don’t have the time to plant a tree yourself? Well, it’s easier than you think.
R10 or more can be donated when you make a purchase at one of their stores, or online, between now and March 1, 2019.
Cape Union Mart will then match every customer donation made.
It’s a great way to do your gift shopping and give a little back this festive season.
