Everyone should have a signature dance move.
A friend of mine has basically patented the power knee slide, and insists on entering the dancefloor in style. Sometimes it works, and other times she ends up with scrapes on her knees and disapproving stares.
Hey, at least she gave it her all, and the same can be said for Frenchman Jimmy Gressier, the 21-year-old runner who was very stoked to win the European U23 cross-country men’s race at the Beekse Bergen Safari Park in Tilburg, Netherlands.
Having gathered up a few flags, he attempted an ill-advised power knee slide across the finish line.
It didn’t end very well:
The celebration didn’t go according to plan but his performance was brilliant!

At least he careened over the line and took top spot, which means he won’t be added to one of those horrid “athletes who celebrated too early and then didn’t win” montages.
