We once lived in a simpler time, where fitness videos came on VHS tapes and featured people in brightly-coloured spandex performing elaborate dance routines.
You might remember this one as possibly the most famous / outlandish of them all.
If it fails to bring a smile to your face then I fear we might have lost you:
Magic.
This brings us to the modern-day Instagram workout videos, which have morphed into something quite different.
Mashable below:
A supercut of workout videos went viral for being — for lack of a better description — absolutely wild.
The screen recording posted to Twitter shows a trio of unsettlingly buff guys lifting weights while getting kicked in the abs, doing crunches while getting hit by medicine balls to the abs, and doing sick crunches underwater to strengthen the abs. At one point, one of the unsettlingly buff men sprint-flails on a treadmill, while the other two unsettlingly buff men hold him back with a resistance band.
For real, it’s wild:

Because two feet is for WIMPS.
This guy is a hoot – here’s another:

I feel like these videos should come with that ‘don’t try this at home’ warning prominently displayed.
It’s all good, guys. I know you’re being healthy, I know you’re getting ripped, and I know it’s just, like, a lifestyle choice.
Running on all fours on a treadmill isn’t how I get my kicks, but you go right ahead.
