If you’ve been paying attention, then the fact that Boris Johnson is a complete imbecile isn’t exactly breaking news.
For two years, he was the UK’s foreign minister, which is one of the four most senior cabinet positions and a post that the British call one of the “great offices of state”.
In other words, he has played a pivotal role in the shaping of British foreign policy, and has been in positions of power for a number of years.
He’s also been putting his foot in his mouth for years (these quotes are top notch), and having sex with women who aren’t his wife for even longer.
At this point, you’re probably wondering what could possibly emerge now to make him appear like even more of a dimwit.
Well, it does take some doing, but two videos doing the rounds on social media this week make his July resignation seem pretty well-timed.
Part of a documentary called Inside the Foreign Office, the first clip shows him “recording a video for his popular Twitter feed, but having to record several takes after slip-ups that included forgetting Portugal’s status during the Second World War”.
You just need to watch it for yourself:

Tough to watch that without thinking of that ‘Gap Yah’ chap.
Then there’s the second clip, which shows that he has the attention span of a frog. This poor woman:
If you already thought you couldn’t dislike #BorisJohnson more this portion of the #BBC Documentary #InsideTheForeignOffice is just excruciating. She’s a diplomat so it’s her job but Caroline Wilson, Director of Europe @foreignoffice is admirably poker faced during this exchange pic.twitter.com/vyyTbOJ4Pq

A moment of silence for foreign diplomacy.
That moment when he says “have your cake and eat it” in French (around the 1:25 mark), and then looks at the camera, is 100% David Brent from The Office. I’m just surprised he didn’t say something about how he is an entertainer first and a politician second.
As the clips circulated, those in the know chimed in:
Don’t worry, Boris, I’m sure there is another lazy politician with terrible hair somewhere in the world that will sympathise with you.
