Some people just have too much money.
If you’re one of those people, and you’re looking to blow it on sea views and a butler, you might be interested in this property in Clifton.
A six-bedroom villa is letting for R250 000 a night and includes a butler, a personal chef and canapes when you arrive.
I repeat, R250 000 A NIGHT. Take a minute if you need one. I’m still processing.
Right, let’s get into why you drop a few million on a couple of nights in this place.
The villa is designed to optimise the view of Camps Bay, the 12 Apostles and the Atlantic Ocean, reports Business Insider.
Natalie Muller, sales and rentals manager for Seeff Atlantic Seaboard, says the listing price reflects the improving condition of the Cape Town rental market after the drought.
“That said, there are still many rentals available on the Atlantic Seaboard with some property owners now being advised (…) to discount their rates to secure bookings,” Muller told Business Insider South Africa.
The house has an “incredible outdoor entertainment area” perfectly positioned to get the best possible view of the sunset.
The same applies to plenty of restaurants in Camps Bay, though. Unlike events at restaurants, however, you have to check with the agent if you want to have friends around.
The house has a fully fitted office, a gym with its own bathroom, a steam room, sauna and, in a separate wing, two staff suites.
All the rooms have sea views and en-suite bathrooms, and the house has a special “pyjama lounge” with kitchenette for children.
The house also has its own elevator, which ensures that the private rooms on the second floor stay private.
If you’re wondering who would (could) rent this thing – apparently, a lot of people.
Seeff Atlantic Seaboard rental agent Jason da Costa added that this season, in particular, he’s been receiving a lot of last-minute inquiries for the December peak period.
“Most of the privately managed villas have, however, already secured bookings over the peak period, resulting in stock becoming limited,” Da Costa says.
Sure. If you have the cash, go wild.
