People like to test the limits of their bravery.
One of the ways they do this is by engaging in some kind of activity that involves flinging oneself off of somewhere high, with safety harnesses or contraption in place to keep them from plummetting to their death.
Chris Gursky, an auto-parts dealer from Florida, who wanted to get his adrenaline going while enjoying the Swiss countryside, decided to try hang-gliding for the first time.
He ended up getting way more than he bargained for.
If you don’t handle suspense well, you’re going to struggle with this video:
Yep, the instructor forgot to attach the safety harness, which left Gursky clinging to the hang-glider for dear life. Here’s Sky News:
After taking off from a 4,000ft mountain edge, Mr Gursky – who was filming the adventure – had to hang on for more than two minutes as the pilot tried to safely land.
He told Good Morning America: “I was just trying to stay calm, trying to hold on for dear life… I looked down once and I thought to myself ‘this is it, I’m going to fall to my death. I’m a goner.’
You’d think that following this, Gursky might want to stick to the more conventional tourist activities, but…
“I will go hang gliding again as I did not enjoy my first flight.”
No, I would imagine that you didn’t.
