If you want to take your cooking video to the next level, and crack that viral checkmark, a pot of brine might just do the trick.
A rather ordinary (read mundane) cooking video now has in excess of 420 000 views at the time of writing, after it was discovered that it contained an optical illusion.
Remember the hand swap challenge that almost broke the internet because people couldn’t figure out how it was done?
This is nothing like that, but both do rely on illusion. The difference is that this boring man and his turkey didn’t plan the trick, it just kind of happens at around the two-minute mark.
Here’s The Evening Standard with how you do it:
Just after the two minute mark, the brine can be seen swirling.
However many people noticed that if they continued to watch until the scene changed, then the turkey would also start to spin.
See for yourself.
Skip ahead, though, because you don’t deserve to be bored to death by the rest of the video. Watch a good 30 seconds of the brine swirling from the two-minute mark, and then watch the turkey come to life.
Now the room is swirling. How do I change back?
Just remember to be thankful for how awesome you are.
