It’s here.
Every Black Friday, we are treated to videos of complete and utter madness, as shoppers scramble to land the best deals possible.
A word of caution – social media users have a habit of uploading old videos that they try and pass off as having just happened. I guess that’s the same as the retailers, who are flogging old, outdated stock in the hopes that we lap it up.
If you’re one of those people uploading old videos to get retweets, all I can say is “shem”, your life needs a rethink.
Anyway, to start, here’s an effort from earlier today in Port Elizabeth (as it’s currently known), that the person who uploaded it assures his followers was filmed this morning.
WOW, and so it begins.

Then again, that same video was uploaded by another Twitter user claiming it as their own.
The South African have these two videos on their running account of the chaos so far today:

Seems there was a countdown last night at the Mall of Africa:

Those Game outlets are really taking a battering:

Don’t forget that last year we saw an actual brawl take place, so the bar is set pretty high.
Quick heads up – if you want a cracking deal on high-speed fibre this Black Friday (which extends through to Cyber Monday), you’re in luck.
There were happier scenes in Canal Walk:

Something to remember this Black Friday – not everyone can shop online, and the savings that many of us scoff at are well worth the trouble for many South Africans.
We’ll update this post as more videos flood in, which they no doubt will.
