Happy Monday, everyone – especially those who recognise the fact that Donald Trump is a complete moron who is incapable of showing basic empathy.
I feel no need to provide an example here, given that the sentient naartjie has spent his entire life with a silver spoon up his rear end, but let’s just take the last week, for example.
John Oliver’s Last Week Tonight decided to look at just a few of the idiotic things he has said in the past seven days. Surprisingly, he managed to condense them into three minutes, although he did leave out a few ‘foot in mouth’ moments.
Anyway, do your thing, John:
That’s right, he wants a “great climate” and he couldn’t even get the name of the town that was ravaged by the wildfire right.
But wait, there’s more. Just when you think he has hit peak stupidity, he manages to go one better in a senile, rambling monologue about Finland and raking forests:
The man is standing in the middle of a town that still has over 1000 people still missing, wearing a camouflage USA hat, WITH HIS NAME ON THE BACK, talking about “taking care of the floors of the forest”…pic.twitter.com/gd2cmRLDD1

You know who thought that was extra ridiculous? The people of Finland, as well as the rest of the sane world who aren’t aboard the Trump train.
Some details from the Telegraph:
He was condemned for blaming officials working to prevent more loss of life and mocked for comparing arid California with a Nordic country where melting snow causes springtime floods.
Veli Pekka Kilimaki, a Finnish defence researcher, tweeted: “I perhaps wouldn’t compare Finland and California climate-wise… And besides, 80% of the country is classified as forest land. We don’t exactly manicure all of it.”
An army of Finns posted photographs showing how they spent their weekends, rake in hand, working to prevent forest fires.
The liberal New York Daily News headlined its front page “Make America rake again”, in a play on Mr Trump’s election slogan…
Mr Trump has repeatedly blamed management practices for the massive fire, attracting the ire last week of the body that represents 30,000 of the state’s firefighters.
Brian Rice, president of California Professional Firefighters, described his comments as “ill-informed, ill-timed and demeaning to those who are suffering as well as the men and women on the front lines”.
He really does like this whole raking angle, as evident from his interview with Fox News’ Chris Wallace:
Trump tells Fox News’ Chris Wallace that he believes wildfires in California are mainly due to “management” and not climate change.
“Maybe [climate change] contributes a little bit — the big problem we have is management.”

To think people actually believe this guy is an intelligent leader with a plan who wants to serve his country, rather than a bloated ego that has stumbled his way through a life of complete and utter privilege.
