A man in Brakpan has seriously upped the cat video game.
So much so that he’s managed to crack the top 10 most-watched YouTube channels in South Africa. That’s according to Social Blade, a statistics website that tracks YouTubers and measures growth across multiple social media platforms including YouTube, Twitch, and Instagram.
It helps that Michael Jamison doesn’t have ordinary cats. He wanted to show that people could cohabit with multiple different pets – 40 to be precise – including two tigers, Enzo and Diego. Here’s Business Insider:
The numbers show it is very hard for South Africans to crack it in the top 1% of YouTube, dominated by international celeb vloggers, beauty channels and gamers, but that local channels can still rack up the local views.
Back to Michael, though, and the most-watched video on his channel. This currently has just shy of 35 million views, and his channel has a total of 25 million views:

South Africa’s top two YouTube channels are Kruger Sightings, with 805 million views, and Die Antwoord, with 693 million views.
