If you want to celebrate your birthday like a celebrity these days, you have to fling yourself out of an aircraft.
Will Smith celebrated his 50th by jumping out of a helicopter over the Grand Canyon.
Following that trend, rapper Diddy decided to take it one step further, celebrating his 49th birthday by jumping out of a plane and parachuting into the grounds of the Playboy Mansion.
According to IOL, Diddy decided to “live his best life” and fulfil his dream of skydiving. He also made it clear that he wanted to do the jump long before he saw Will Smith do it.
He said: “I wanted to do this before I saw Will Smith jump out a plane but he definitely gave me some inspiration after seeing him jump out but mine was definitely scheduled so Will I don’t want you to think I’m biting.”
Before takeoff, Diddy shared a video of the jump preparations. He also encouraged everyone to get out and vote in the midterm elections:

Later, he posted a video of the jump and his successful landing in the garden of the Playboy Mansion. Why the Playboy Mansion? Because he’s Diddy.
I DID IT!!! Thank you to my neighbors at the Playboy Mansion for letting me use their house to land. NO FEAR!!!! pic.twitter.com/aT1lyXT6ZE

The birthday celebrations were then moved to Ysabel in West Hollywood where he celebrated with LeBron James, Usher, Wiz Khalifa, Kodak Black and plenty of other celebs.
Depending on your definition of a party, the celebrations either didn’t go as well as, or went better, than the parachute jump. Here’s TMZ:
Seems the after-party spilled over to Diddy’s and, as you can image, it was the place to be … we’re told there were about 50 cars parked outside his home, and about 200 people inside in full party mode.
Things went pretty smoothly once cops showed up … police told security to shut it down or they would have to enter and disperse the crowd, and the guards obliged.
Is it even a party if the cops don’t shut it down?
Diddy really knows how to do a birthday right.
