He’s no Kardashian, but Malusi Gigaba’s sex tape is doing pretty well on international porn streaming site, Pornhub.
This after a week from hell, where, following the leak of the video meant only for Gigaba’s wife, he was summoned to appear before Parliament’s portfolio committee on Home Affairs, to provide clarity on whether he had given permission for the Oppenheimer family to run the Fireblade Aviation terminal at OR Tambo International.
That didn’t go well, despite the attempted violent intervention of BLF and their leader, Andile Mngxitama. Even Zapiro couldn’t help but put the boot in, and his drawing of Gigaba leaves little to the imagination.
Then, to top it all off, Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane’s report stated that President Cyril Ramaphosa must discipline Gigaba for violating the Constitution and two ethics codes related to the Fireblade matter.
In short, a very, very bad week – and the “fun” isn’t over yet, because now Gigaba is trying to get his video taken off the porn streaming site, where it has already been viewed over 20 000 times, reports The Citizen.
The video, which was leaked onto social media a week ago shows the minister playing with himself while saying: “imagine this in your mouth”.
This version is 34 seconds long, unlike the 6-second version that was initially distributed on social media and via other messaging platforms.
Gigaba has apologised for the video, and says that he is working to bring those who leaked it to justice. According to IOL, other folks he’d like brought to justice include the “sinister forces” that Gigaba feels are working against him to prevent him from becoming the next leader of the ANC.
Gigaba on Sunday said that he had spent the weekend visiting media houses to defend himself from his “hard-working enemies”.
When asked why he thought there was a political campaign against him, Gigaba said his only conclusion was that “this concentration of attack” was linked to him one day becoming president.
“When this concentration of fury on a single individual happens it cannot be linked with anything else, it has to be linked with the fear that he has got to be stopped now,” he said.
When asked if he had presidential ambitions, he said that he “would not say no.” To date, nobody has actually asked him to make a play for the position, so this is all speculation on his part.
While he waits for someone to recognise his presidential qualities, Gigaba maintains that he is innocent of all Gupta-related crimes.
He is also ready to go to war, alongside “militant comrades who would defend him” against future attacks.
He should probably work a little harder to get that video removed from the internet first.
Nobody, apart from 20 000 people apparently, wants to see that.
