During the course of 72 hours, America was rocked by three horrendous hate crimes.
On Wednesday, a man tried to force his way into a predominantly black church in Kentucky, failed, and then gunned down two African-American people at a store.
Then, on Saturday morning, a man shouting anti-Semitic slurs opened fire at a Pittsburgh synagogue, killing 11 people attending Jewish services.
Throughout all of this, Trump came under fire for his failure to take any personal responsibility, and he was being closely watched at every turn.
Then came the Air Force one blunder. It doesn’t quite rival the ‘toilet paper stuck to the shoe‘ mishap, but it is a little weird.
First up, have a look:
Unbelievable — Trump doesn’t know how to close an umbrella, so inside of closing it and bringing it aboard Air Force One with him, he just dropped it outside the plane. pic.twitter.com/G5AtmPaRvz

Normally, I would say there’s probably a valid reason, but with Trump, he’s probably just too lazy to close the thing.
The video did go viral, with this below from Mashable:
Personally, I look at this viral umbrella clip and see a perfect reflection of the man we’ve come to know since he settled into the Oval Office…
And now we have this umbrella. A useful tool in the moment as Trump holds it over his head to shield himself from the rain. Then, once he gets to the moment of boarding Air Force One, he drops the umbrella without any care or thought.
It’s just an umbrella, his defenders will no doubt scream. And they’re right, it is. But the lack of regard shown in this one instance says so much about the man who was carrying that umbrella.
Given the wealth of things to criticise Trump for, dropping an umbrella seems a little over the top.
Maybe we should lay into him for cracking jokes about his hair, during a political speech at the Future Farmers of America Convention, just hours after the mass shooting at the Pittsburgh synagogue.
As mentioned earlier, it was the third hate crime in a matter of days, but Donnie was still in fine spirits:
Watch President Trump joke to FFA audience that he thought about canceling his speech—not because of the Pittsburgh Tree of Life mass shooting, but because of his “bad hair day” pic.twitter.com/BMeVRS3iha

And the crowd cheered wildly.
Another video that’s being panned – Trump saying that places of worship need armed security inside, because that’s the way to deal with all of these mass shootings:
Not sure I agree, given that the gunman, Robert Bowers, managed to injure four armed police officers who responded to the attack.
Maybe the answer is fewer guns and fewer tweets. This is Donald’s latest effort:
Utterly incapable of empathy and introspection.
