If you’re a Belieber you probably saw the pic of everyone’s favourite scumbro failing at eating a burrito. If not, like me, you probably had no idea this was happening.
My lack of Bieber knowledge is something I’m quite proud of. Regardless, in true paparazzi style, the picture of the singer eating the food sideways made the news and broke the internet, so here we are.
Before you despair for humanity though – plot twist – the pic is actually an elaborate prank designed to play on the obsession of fans and press.
Here’s NewsAU:
Sparking outrage over the singer’s eating habits, the photo was soon picked up by countless media outlets including BBC News, USA Today and Vanity Fair. But there was just one catch — that isn’t Bieber.
YouTubers ‘Yes Theory’ have confessed up to staging the photo, flying Bieber lookalike Brad Soussa to Los Angeles to shoot the fake picture. But the prank didn’t stop there, with a video posted on Sunday detailing how Yes Theory emailed the picture to countless news outlets and posted it on Reddit where it went viral.
Yes Theory made a video about the prank. Check it out:
One of the Yes Theory members went as far as to give interviews to journalists, talking about how he spotted Bieber and snapped the pic. I’m still trying to figure out why everyone cares so much.
Bieber is too busy serenading people at fountains to comment, but his manager weighed in to declare “you can’t prank a prankster”.
. @YesTheory but let’s be clear.. you can never prank a prankster… as for everyone else… ♂ pic.twitter.com/RXtaF9f2gX

Braun reveals in the tweet that he knew that the photo was a prank, but decided to play along to figure out who was behind it.
All the lolz.
Moral of the story? Who cares.
