You might think you’ve pulled off a good prank or two in your time, but you’re not in the same league as Oobah Butler.
He’s the guy who managed to turn his garden shed into the number one ranked restaurant in London on TripAdvisor, a stunt which went viral right around the world.
Hot off the back of that, he went on to dupe people at Paris Fashion Week, proving how daft the whole affair really is.
He’s now enjoying a sustained period of media attention, but that doesn’t mean he actually has to bother doing it himself.
A short description via VICE:
We live in an era where people tailor themselves online, putting out an idealised version of themselves to the world. So why can’t we do it in real life?
In the wake of turning his shed into London’s number one restaurant and getting a knock-off clothing brand into Paris Fashion Week, VICE’s Oobah Butler decides to audition lookalikes and send fake versions of himself to TV and radio interviews internationally in a bid to improve his brand. But can he get away with it?
Well, let’s see if he can:
