Canadians are pretty chilled when they’re not playing ice hockey, and they’re set to get even more chilled now that they’ve legalised marijuana.
When the clock struck midnight on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, Canada became the second country, after Uruguay, to legalise weed.
We’re talking full legalisation here – the regulations will be similar to those imposed on smoking cigarettes.
The legalisation made good on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s campaign promise, and is expected to inject billions of dollars into the Canadian economy, reports Mashable.

The move isn’t without controversy, including debate over pardons (which the country will hand out to those convicted of having 30 grams or less), and the laws vary by province so they require some scrutiny. But legalization is here and has largely been met with open arms and bongs…
