At times, Melania Trump has been a bit of a non-entity since Donald took office back in 2017.

The only time she makes it into the news is when she’s doing something insensitive like wearing the “I really don’t care” jacket to a child detention centre – but we’ll get to that later.

She’s also been the catalyst for some amazing memes, mostly featuring a note pleading for help.

Gone are the days when an American president was impeached for having an affair – ask Hillary. After losing to the halfwit sexual predator who currently occupies the White House, she’s still being asked about the Monica Lewinsky scandal, while nobody seems to care about Trump’s multiple indiscretions, including one with a porn star who described his bits in great detail.

Still, many wonder how Melania feels about these affairs, and recently she addressed them once more. You’ll see that after putting up with a short advert via CNN:

Melania’s overall stance on the whole cheating husband thing is to dismiss the media reports, stating that she and Trump are fine.

Which brings us to the Zara jacket. Melania and her stylist showed a lack of empathy and judgement when she wore the jacket on a visit to a detention centre where she met with the children of detainees.

In the recent interview, Melania states emphatically that people should be allowed to bring their families with them when they immigrate to America. When asked if she has told her husband this, she replies in the affirmative. She also goes on to talk about how she agrees with Trump’s ideas about “letting the right people in.”

According to The Guardian, at the time of the jacket incident, Melania’s spokesperson made the following statement:

“There was no hidden message. After today’s important visit to Texas, I hope this isn’t what the media is going to choose to focus on.”

Now, in the interview, Melania has changed the story completely:

“It’s obvious I didn’t wear the jacket for the children,” she said. “I wore the jacket to go on the plane and off the plane.”

She pauses before continuing:

“It was for the people and for the leftwing media who are criticizing me. And I want to show them that I don’t care.”

Oh, so her and her spokesperson just lied about it when the story first broke.

As an immigrant and leader of an anti-bullying campaign, Melania, married to a bully and lacking empathy when discussing immigration is a walking, talking contradiction.
