Thanks to the gut-wrenching words of Dr Christine Blasey Ford, and Senator Jeff Flake showing some last-minute balls, the FBI is now conducting a week-long probe into the numerous allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
It’s a story that dominated the news over the weekend, with Saturday Night Live enlisting the help of Matt Damon as Kavanaugh to launch their 44th season.
Late on Sunday, John Oliver decided to give the story almost the entire episode of Last Week Tonight, and he was at his fiery, nerdy best.
If it wasn’t such an indictment of America, it would be completely laughable:
It’s a sad state of affairs that the FBI has less than a week to conduct their look back at what might have occurred, with the White House actively involved in trying to narrow that probe.
In other words, unless a handful of Republicans grow a spine and take a stand, Brett Kavanaugh will almost certainly be appointed to the Supreme Court.
So much has been written and said about Kavanaugh, Ford and each of their appearances in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Thursday, but if you have another half hour to spare, and you want proof that Kavanaugh is a liar, then give this a read.
