Fox News host, and man being controlled by his eyebrows, Tucker Carlson is at it again with another embarrassing attempt to be clever.
We recently brought you Carlson’s take on the “land grab” issue in South Africa. Let’s just say there were some unfortunate comparisons made between Chuck Schumer rejecting Trump’s judicial nominees and systematic, violent oppression under apartheid. Enough said.
Now Carlson is playing the ‘eye-for-an-eye’ game, using his show on Fox to get back at Stormy Daniels’ lawyer, Michael Avenatti, after Avenetti called him out on The View.
Here’s The Daily Beast:
Michael Avenatti […] called Fox News’ Tucker Carlson a “pig” who shouldn’t be disparaging women like his client Stormy Daniels. That night, Carlson dedicated an entire segment of his show to the man he likes to call the “creepy porn lawyer.”
It’s a long one, so if you want to skip the formalities the action really starts two minutes in:
I have to give it to Avenatti, he managed to keep it together. I don’t know if I would have made it past the first minute.
Here are the highlights from the world’s worst (and most childish) interview.
“We could sit here and hurl insults at each other,” Carlson began, before saying he wanted to take Avenatti “seriously.” In that same moment, the chyron below them changed to read “CREEPY PORN LAWYER TOYING WITH 2020 RUN.” Some version of that moniker remained on screen for the rest of their nearly 13-minute interview.
Carlson continued to waste airtime by trying to get Avenatti to talk about his political views, rather than the Stormy Daniels case. Every time Avenatti tried to speak, Carlson shouted over him while at the same time saying he had “no interest in squabbling or name-calling”.
Then Avenatti kicked back:
“Why is it that you don’t call Donald Trump the ‘creepy porn president?’” Avenatti asked Carlson at one point. “He’s the one that had sex, with a four-month-old son at home, with my client, without a condom. But you don’t want to acknowledge that!”
Carlson then had to admit that the extra-marital affair took place but in the pigheaded way of a conservative idiot, managed to convince himself, if not anyone else, that Trump didn’t lie to the American people.
As Carlson accused Avenatti of “exploiting” Daniels, Avenatti shot back that he was “hypocrite” for shaming his association with a porn star while giving Trump a pass for the same thing.
Towards the end of the “interview”, Carlson realises that he’s losing this one, calls Avenatti a “creepy porn lawyer” and cuts to commercial before he can respond.
Avenatti later responded in a Tweet where he expressed his regret at having agreed to the interview:
Carlson needs to reconcile with his eyebrows, or take a crap – whatever it takes to stop being a first-class wanker.
