Ladies, Ryan Gosling is back, and this time he’s going into space to take one giant leap for mankind.

Ever since man first set foot on the moon the world has been divided between those who think the whole thing was a hoax, and those whose imaginations were expanded to include the endless possibilities of space travel.

And then there are flat-earthers, but that’s a whole other story.

First Man, Damien Chazelle’s new cinematically spectacular film about Neil Armstrong and his journey through the NASA space program of the 1960s, looks like it has everything you want out of a space drama

That includes suspense, untested technology and the reality of riding in a filthy, cramped rocket ship with the added bonus of, as Variety puts it,  “being trapped in some ominous purgatory of explosive dread”.
