Elon, no – step away from Twitter, buddy.
Last week we covered Musk’s interview with the New York Times, where he was clearly emotional, and he also made mention of how some of his errant tweets in the past might have been due to taking sleeping pills and medication.
Rather than taking a step back, the billionaire has returned to Twitter with a bang, revisiting his accusation that one of the British divers responsible for saving the Thai football team from the cave is a ‘pedo’.
Observe this exchange:
Then comes the ‘pedo’ stuff:
Yeah, guy who goes by @yoda on Twitter, why didn’t you investigate Elon’s wild claims?
That above really does look like a man who is cracking under the pressure, again, and you wonder how long it might be before Tesla shareholders and the likes ask him to curb his social media habits.
What’s more, the New York Times has called Musk out for lying about his tears, or lack thereof. CNN reports:
A spokesperson for the Times said that the paper stands by its description of the telephone interview with Musk.
“Mr. Musk’s emotion was audible. It is not true that his voice only cracked once,” the spokesperson said.
The Times interview was conducted the week after the billionaire entrepreneur abruptly announced on Twitter plans to take Tesla private.
Elon, you cried. This is 2018, and showing emotion is perfectly OK. Embrace it, shed tears onstage during a TED Talk, start a podcast where you weep together with guests week in and out.
Basically, anything other than accusing people of being paedophiles without a shred of evidence.
