I keep seeing this image and story about a disappearing woman, everywhere I go on the “web.” Because I don’t actually read words, I decided the story was about some kind of silly Blair Witch style video someone made.
I thought it was a prank, involving trickery of sorts. But, upon closer inspection, it looks like it’s something else. Something potentially sinister.
Listen to this carefully, from Sky:
Police are searching for a mystery woman who rang the doorbell of a Texas home in the dead of night before vanishing.
She was wearing what appears to be broken restraints on both wrists.
Footage of the woman, dressed in just a white T-shirt, was captured on the home’s surveillance camera in the Sunrise Ranch area of Montgomery.
Hmmm. Sunrise Ranch, you say?
Apparently, this footage was filmed at 3AM last Thursday.
Check it out – this is some freaky shit:
Baking!
Apparently, that wasn’t the only doorbell that rang. Several neighbours claim their doorbells rang that very same night, with nobody there when they got to the door.
I’m getting goosebumps just writing this.
Police are investigating the issue, but so far nothing has come up. There are no missing person cases in the area, and they’ve done door-to-door checks with no further clues.
Not that it will stop any speculation:
After police shared the incident online, some feared the woman was a victim of abduction.
One person asked: “Why didn’t anyone help her?? She could be escaping from someone.”
That’s true. She could be.
Or it could be some kind of a bondage sex role-playing game, mixed with a spot of toktokkie.
That would be the best result.
We’ll keep you posted – hopefully it’s nothing too hectic.
