Kevin Cash struck gold during his 20s, managing to build an estimated £500 million (around R8,7 billion) fortune.
He was less lucky in the marriage department, but they say the fourth time’s a charm. His most recent marriage is to South African model Carla La Reservee, with the pair having tied the knot back in 2011.
Depending on your age, you might remember Carla as FHM’s Sexiest Woman in the World back in 2006, when she was 26, but more on that later.
Fine, here’s the cover you hooligans:
FHM, hey? Good riddance.
Fast forward to 2018, and 54-year-old Cash’s empire is crumbling around him. He was declared insolvent by Oxford County Court — the latest reversal since he was found liable for fraudulent misrepresentation in a High Court action earlier this year.
Cash is now being forced to flog off his most prized assets – front and centre is his beloved North Aston Hall, near Bicester in Oxfordshire, which is on the market for £28 million (R490 million).
It’s easy to see why Cash has an affinity for this whopper, with images and text via the Daily Mail:
Reached by a mile-long drive, the Jacobethan-style mansion is set in 194 acres, which include landscaped gardens and a riverside treehouse.
It also boasts a luxurious leisure complex comprising a swimming pool, tennis court and billiards room.
The mansion itself is equally sumptuous, with an orangery, a roof terrace with conservatory, an 18th-century wine cellar and 11 bedrooms, including a 2,500 sq ft master suite.
Yeah, waving that beauty goodbye is going to leave a mark. You can find more images and info on the property here.
As for his marriage with Carla, with whom he has two children – well, that is on pretty shaky ground, too:
The decision to place North Aston Hall on the market has evidently caused much anguish for Carla, once voted ‘sexiest woman in South Africa’ by lads’ mag FHM.
Days before her husband’s bankruptcy, she sent a message to businessman Darius Khakshouri, to whom she was once close, saying: ‘We have nothing left’.
Does she mean money or love? Maybe the jury is out.
This is all very odd, given that Khakshouri is an enemy of her husband, Kevin. More on that here.
Apparently, Cash owes more than £40 million to creditors and around £13 million in unpaid tax, although North Aston Hall is owned by a trust put in place by his parents, Barry and Sheila.
That means creditors can’t seize the property to pay back the debts owed to them, but it appears Cash is still parting ways with his favoured haunt.
A little on Cash’s past marriages:
A man of many wives, Cash has suffered three failed marriages – and two of his spouses were glamorous pin-ups.
His first wife was Moroccan graduate of Montreal University Nabila Benbrahim.
After their nuptials broke down, he married his second wife Jackie St Clair in 1990. The former glamour model went on to date Simon Cowell after the pair divorced.
In 2000 Cash wed his third spouse, Frenchwoman Ariane Porthault.
What’s that? Oh, you came for pictures of Carla, not some spiel about Kevin’s financial woes. Alright – over to Flux Mag, with these pics from her modelling days prior to her marriage:
That’s quite enough – you can do your own Googling.
It was never going to be easy, being the fourth wife of a billionaire whose surname is Cash. But Carla did it, has two kids to show for her troubles, and a mansion worth half a billion rand.
Oh, ‘had’ being the operative word.
