If you needed another reminder to make sure your car locks when you hit the remote, here it is.
We know that signal jammers are often used to prevent people from locking their vehicles, but now some CCTV footage has shown that the crafty crooks of Rondebosch have another method.
Filmed on Campground Road outside the Westerford Kwikspar, this chap shows some quick thinking. Looks like he walked away with a decent return for his efforts, too.
Via The South African, here’s the video:
The incident in the video took place outside Westerford Kwikspar. Watch how the suspect opens the back door of the white Audi as the driver gets out. When the driver walks away & locks the vehicle the car does not lock as the back door is open. Just another reason to stand beside your car until you see the locks drop down, I guess.
We should balance this out by showing you that not all South African criminals are so crafty, like this video shared by Intelligence Bureau SA.
