My word, and I thought Elon Musk’s spat about the farting unicorn was the strangest thing I’ve seen all year on Twitter.
Now we’ve got two stadiums butting proverbial heads over who gets to host Oasis’ comeback show … in the unlikely event that it ever happens.
What with Liam Gallagher poking the bear on the Twitter, I highly doubt that he and his brother Noel will put their bitter differences aside to put a concert on.
It all started when Liam extended an olive branch on Twitter to his brother last Thursday:
Minus the spelling and grammar errors, this “BeZar” tweet whipped fans into a frenzy and garnered zero response from Noel.
That didn’t stop Manchester City’s official Twitter account from chirping in, reports The Guardian, to suggest a venue for the not-going-to-happen show.
Liam is one of Manchester City’s most outspoken fans, so it would kinda make sense:
This prompted Wembley Stadium to enter the fray with this spicy tweet:
To which Manchester City shot back:
The burn is real.
Of course, Wembley Stadium just had to up the ante:
The shade of it all. *Eats popcorn*
Finally, an unofficial Twitter account for Etihad Stadium, where Manchester City ply their trade, inserted their two cents’ worth, prompting an undercover shady response from Manchester City:
Good show all around.
Now imagine how nasty this argument will become if Liam and Noel are actually doing a damn show.
We’ll be waiting with more popcorn just in case.
