Things got a little (read: a helluva lot) heated on an episode of The View, when Whoopi Goldberg let rip on Fox News‘ Judge Jeanine Pirro.
The Daily Beast reports that it all started when Pirro popped by the talk show last Thursday to promote her book.
In the process, she pretty much gave away that she was a Donald Trump fan, if her delusional defence of his meeting with Russia’s Vladimir Putin and jabs directed towards Barack Obama are anything to go by.
Then again, I guess that’s the prerequisite for being a Fox News journo these days, but I digress.
When moderator Goldberg tried to get a question in, Pirro suddenly accused her of having “Trump Derangement Syndrome”. Hell knows where that cattiness came from, but I can tell you right now that Goldberg was NOT having it.
Take a look at her impending explosion, which starts building steam at the 2:33 mark:
Sjoe, if I had been Pirro, I would have melted right on the spot.
As y’all can tell, the segment was not to be forgotten quickly. The next day Goldberg cleared the air, explaining what happened after the interview – and the subsequent dragging of Pirro – went down:
.@WhoopiGoldberg clears up what happened after our Jeanine Pirro interview: “I rarely get stirred up — but I got stirred up…and I did apologize for getting hot.”
“For 20 years, this show has always had people on with different views…but you cannot come and call people names.” pic.twitter.com/7Cb5XWjpYc— The View (@TheView) July 20, 2018
Wow. Now I’m even more glad Goldberg unloaded the savagery on Pirro.
A witness confirmed to The Daily Beast just how crappy Pirro’s attitude was:
A witness — who asked not to be further identified — told The Daily Beast that after the segment ended and Goldberg walked off-stage, Pirro ripped off her microphone while the crew members hovered around her and she shouted, “Those cocksuckers! This is exactly what I told them would happen.”
When Goldberg left the stage, she said she needed to “calm down,” but Pirro came over and “put a finger in [her] face,” yelling something along the lines of, “I’ve done more for victims than you ever will!” In response, Goldberg said she expressed “a few choice words I cannot repeat.”
Did Pirro decide to be humble about the whole situation?
In some other life, maybe, just not this one.
Pirro took an opportunity to talk about the segment on Fox News on Saturday, reports The Daily Beast, directing most of her spicy remarks towards Goldberg:
Of course she would leave out the part where she called The View panellists “cocksuckers”.
And don’t think we’ll forget her dropping her two cents’ worth about Ghost in a hurry as well.
Welcome to America in 2018, folks.
