Meghan Markle’s daddy woes are far, far from over.
After participating in an interview with Good Morning Britain that reportedly landed him in hot water with his daughter and the royals, guess what Thomas Markle did?
Yup, he sat down for yet another interview, this time with The Sun.
The subject? Markle basically revealed that he’s been “shunned” by the Duchess of Sussex, and the rest of folks at Kensington Palace.
Woebegone, he told the publication:
The phone number that I call doesn’t work anymore. The – I guess – liaison with the royal family never answers back, and there’s no address I can write to so I have no way of contacting my daughter.
I guess they’re still reeling from the GMB interview and all the other things the older Markle got up to, like colluding with the paparazzi and dropping spicy comments about Queen Elizabeth meeting Donald Trump instead of him.
Well, they’re certainly not going to be impressed with this latest tell-all chapter in this ongoing saga, especially the part where Markle claims that Meghan is “terrified” since marrying into the British Royal Family:
I see it in [Meghan’s] eyes, I see it in her face and I see it in her smile. I’ve seen her smile for years. I know her smile. I don’t like the one I’m seeing now. This one isn’t even a stage smile — this is a pained smile.
That might be just having a couple of bad days. I don’t know. It really worries me. I think she’s under too much pressure.
There’s a high price to pay to be married to that family.
Um, that’s a bit of a stretch, Papa Markle.
Sure, Meghan has to juggle a lot of royal protocols, plus she’s under scrutiny on everything from her new accent down to her shoe size, but I’m pretty sure she’s happy right now.
Look no further than pics of her and Prince Harry laying on the PDA at the Royal Ascot for proof, which you can view here.
Even if Meghan did have any worries on her mind, I’m not sure she’d be willing to tell her dad, just in case he spilt the beans to the press.
Maybe Markle should take a long break from putting his broken heart on his sleeve for all cameras to see.
Maybe then, he and Meghan can patch things up.
