When it comes to their adverts, Old Spice likes to mix it up.
From their Valentine’s Day ads to Terry Crews’ mind-blowing turn as the Old Spice guy, the folks behind the grooming product know that people are fond of their ad campaigns.
So what do they have up their sleeves this time ’round?
If the latest video spots from Wieden & Kennedy Portland are anything to go by, we can expect hilarity, comic drama and girl power.
Creativity Online has the scoop:
Old Spice’s new campaign is based around the tagline “She Nose Best” and pays tribute (in typically surreal Old Spice style) to the fact that women often make the decisions about men’s toiletries.
And boy, did they pay tribute.
Take a squizz at these latest spots:
Give these ladies Oscars and diamond-encrusted medals for bravery, please.
Matt Krehbiel, Old Spice Associate Brand Director at Procter & Gamble, explained the female focus in a statement:
Old Spice knows the influence that women have on men in their important life decisions, including choosing grooming regimens that have him smelling and looking his best.
In true Old Spice humor, we’re spotlighting the great – and sometimes ridiculous – lengths women go to while achieving extraordinary things together like landing a plane or traversing a mountain … and smelling better with Old Spice’s full grooming line-up.
Kudos to you for giving the women the spotlight they deserve, Old Spice.
Now I can’t wait for their next ad instalment – I have to know if Dylan is going to finally break out of the ice.
