If you’ve been having a bad week, seeing this baby chimpanzee’s reaction when he’s reunited with his human foster parents is bound to make you crack a grin.
According to Inside Edition, Limbani the chimp had been born with pneumonia, and subsequently rejected by his mother.
If that’s not enough to tear you up, I don’t know what will.
That’s when Tanya and Jorge, a couple from Miami, Florida, decided to take him in for a while:
The couple helped raise him during his first few months of life … they provided around-the-clock care for the animal in the first months of his life, which has caused Limbani to treat the humans like his birth parents.
Now living at the Zoological Wildlife Foundation in Miami, Limbani was recently reunited with his “mom and dad”, and his reaction was everything:
Cue all the awwws.
This may well be the most heartwarming moment you’ll see all week, if not all year.
Makes me wish that all animals were treated with love and kindness.
