Ed Sheeran is bound for South African shores next year, and fans can’t wait to get a piece of him.
They’re so keen, in fact, that they crashed Computicket just to get a hold of a concert ticket.
According to Business Insider SA, tickets for the musician’s tour went on sale for the general public on Thursday morning.
Cue all the fangirls and fanboys flocking in their numbers to the event ticket seller’s website.
Come 8:30AM, and Computicket tweeted out this:
Oh dear, oh dear.
Per the report:
The South African tickets website said online sales will be reopened at 10:30 unless the “situation changes”. Tickets are still, however, available at Shoprite and Checkers stores.
Unfortunately for Computicket, Sheeran’s South African fanbase saw fire – geddit, like the Ed Sheeran song?
Sorry, bad joke, but the gist is that local fans were not having any of Computicket’s antics now or any other day.
On Twitter, fans let the ticket sellers have it:
Ooh, I felt that burn on a spiritual level.
That essay will take up a lot of tweets.
Even Big Concerts wasn’t safe from Tweeps’ savage comments:
Downright savagery, bro. Sheeran will probably enjoy partying with you lot when he’s here.
At least the ticket booking site seems to be up and running now, with Cape Town tickets on sale:
If Ed’s your vibe, then you do you.
