It’s not the first time Jimmy Fallon and Stephen Colbert have butted heads with Donald Trump.
Fallon has taken many potshots at the American president. Same with Colbert, who has laid into Trump with his own spicy comments.
But thanks to recent events, the duo are taking their trolling tactics to the next level.
Here’s what happened: the Trumpster tore into Fallon, Colbert and other late-night hosts at a South Carolina rally on Monday, June 25, calling them Fallon a “lost soul” and Colbert a “low-life with no talent”.
Those were fighting words, indeed. That’s when Colbert and Fallon decided to join forces and take the president down a peg or two.
How? By having Fallon appear on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday night for an emergency FaceTime chat about Trump’s rant, reports The Daily Beast.
Cue the hilarity, with a Conan O’Brien cameo for good measure:
So, so good. Almost as great as the Trump-Kim summit getting the Bad Lip Reading treatment.
Also, a huge shout-out to the person in charge of graphics for making that subtle change in the show’s opening credits.
I guess it’s also thanks to Trump for giving them the comedy material they need.
