If I had to hazard a guess at who’s going to nail down those ‘2018 Sports Personality of the Year’ awards, I would say Siya Kolisi is a long way out in front.
The new Springbok skipper has been a breath of fresh air, and his leadership is one of the reasons why there is a sense of optimism around the national team.
He will just be getting used to the level of scrutiny that comes with leading the Boks, but unfortunately his wife Rachel is well-versed in the art of Twitter trolling.
There will always be those who take the racist angle, but of late Rachel has been subjected to something a little different.
eNCA reports:
Twitter was abuzz on Monday after Rachel Kolisi, who is married to Springbok Captain Siya Kolisi, made it clear to crushers that he is taken.
Rachel was responding to a woman who Tweeted that Siya Kolisi was her “type.” Little did she know this would “upset” Kolisi’s wife.
She then outlined how it’s not just Twitter that’s been taking liberties:
Sadly respect and social media don’t play well together.
Perhaps this is the show Rachel is talking about:
Vapid.
Rachel’s request for respect was met with a mixed reaction on Twitter:
There’s a saying about opinions and assholes that might be apt here.
Perhaps this is the Rachel tweet we should be celebrating:
Champs.
