Everybody knows it can be difficult as hell to get a reservation at The Test Kitchen.
After all, the Woodstock-based eatery is among the 50 best restaurants in the world, having recently walked away with the international accolade on June 19 at the 2018 World’s 50 Best Restaurant Awards held in Spain.
I’m sure there’ll be plenty of people who’ll pull out any crazy trick to get there and take a seat at The Test Kitchen’s table.
Take this cunning dad, for example: he tried to book a table at a sought-after restaurant, and was told there were none available.
So what did he do? He pretended to be Abdelilah Benkirane, the prime minister of Morocco. As luck would have it, his dastardly little plot worked, and the results were hilarious.
The fake PM’s daughter Ihab shared footage of the wonderful scheme as it unfolded to Twitter:
My dad wanted to make a reservation at a restaurant and they told him that they were completely booked, minutes later he called back claiming to be the prime minister of Morocco….. we got the best table in the place and the chef answer him to sign a plate and take a pic w him pic.twitter.com/Yx2hdlK5Zf

Hoo boy, I bet those restaurant employees are regretting asking a total stranger for his autograph.
This is what the real Moroccan PM looks like BTW:
Quite a difference, hey? Reminds me of that time people mistook Barack Obama for a waiter.
As Mashable points out, some people who saw the footage were concerned about identity theft, while others were having a lekker laugh over the whole thing:
They also spared a thought for the poor employees:
Then there those who reckon this is the best scam ever:
Good luck with that, friend, and good luck getting a booking at The Test Kitchen.
