I mean, if you haven’t realised this by now, there’s probably no hope.
Or you watch Fox News.
If you Google “Trump Man-Baby” you’ll see there’s no shortage of images to choose from, but a new nugget of info that came to light recently really puts the cherry on top.
The recent G7 Summit was a trainwreck, and many pointed to this picture below as evidence of Donnie’s petulance:
Front and centre there is Angela Merkel looking decidedly unimpressed, but that doesn’t tell the half of it.
Get a load of this, as reported by The Independent:
Ian Bremmer, president of political risk consultancy firm the Eurasia Group, claimed other leaders had pressed the president to sign a joint communique at the end of the summit.
Mr Trump reportedly agreed to sign the agreement, before another tense exchange took place between him and Ms Merkel.
“Trump was sitting there with his arms crossed clearly not liking the fact that he felt like they were ganging up on him. He eventually agreed to sign it,” Mr Bremmer told CBS This Morningon Wednesday.
“He stood up, he put his hand in his pocket and he took two Starburst candies out, threw them on the table and said: ‘here, Angela, don’t say I never give you anything.’”
Mr Trump eventually refused to sign the agreement, lashing out at the Canadian prime minister, Justin Trudeau, on Twitter and leaving the summit to fly to Singapore for talks with the North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un.
Why was he carrying candy in his pocket? Did Angela take the candy? Is this real life? So many questions.
We can probably rule out certain colours of Starbust, given what the LA Times reported:
America’s 45th president only eats the red (cherry) and pink (strawberry) Starburst candies. House majority leader Kevin McCarthy noticed the quirk when the two were alone in the presidential suite on Air Force One. He told The Washington Post he recalled the president’s aides telling him later of the partiality, “Those are the president’s favorites. [sic]”
McCarthy later had a House staffer sort through a pile of Starburst candy and place only the red and pink candies into a glass jar that was then labeled with Trump’s name and gifted to him.
Good thing Starburst don’t make black candy, because you can bet Trump would hate them.
He threw candy at another world leader, and it’s not at all surprising. That’s where we are at now.
