I see Julius Malema is back at the “killing white people” shtick again.
After dishing out a hectic speech about taking land from white people back in April, the EFF leader recently took part in an interview with TRT World, which was published on Monday, June 12, reports The Huffington Post.
And in classic Juju style, he told the presenter that he “didn’t call for the killing of white people … at least, not for now”.
Well, that’s real comforting news. Peachy.
Here’s the clip of Malema dropping the fiery statement:
The presenter (kudos to him for keeping it professional) reckoned that for some people it might sound like a “genocidal call”, but ol’ Malema poo-pooed the notion, calling those people “Cry babies”:
I can’t give you a guarantee of the future. Especially when things are going the way they are.
If things are going the way they are, there will be a revolution in this country. I can tell you now. There will be an unled revolution in this country, and an unled revolution is the highest form of anarchy.
Them’s fighting words, friends.
The EFF leader and his party really are taking it a bit too far with their antics and rhetoric.
From his spicy comments about Indians versus Africans, to locking horns with the DA’s Helen Zille, the EFF are looking to gain attention and voting power in a very provocative way, writes Max du Preez for News24:
What I have seen and heard from the EFF the last few months reminds me very much of that crude racial nationalism, that populist appeal to people’s basest instincts.
Having lost Zuma, free tertiary education and land expropriation as electioneering slogans, the EFF leadership has clearly made race its main cause to attract voters in 2019.
Anti-white rhetoric was revved up to new levels of crudeness, but the party is going further by being explicitly anti-Indian and by glorifying black Africans above others …
Anyone who cautions against this tendency is attacked as a racist and an enemy of the people, and the vicious EFF social media army is let loose on him or her. This aggression has caused many journalists and commentators to fear the EFF brigade so much that they let the chauvinists and cheap populists get away with it.
The way Malema is steamrolling on with his diatribes, it looks like he’s not about to let any person – white, Indian, black or practically any colour – get in his way.
