They finally did it.
Earlier this morning SA time Donald and Kim wrapped their tiny hands around one another and made history (not sure who is the Siya and who is the Temba), and they got on with the small matter of trying to figure out how to make peace.
This being a Trump affair, it was all gobbled up by the waiting media, many of whom could scarcely believe what they were seeing and hearing.
To begin – when Little Rocket Man meets Dotard:
So much pain behind both sets of eyes.
Later in the day, they emerged from their quick lunch sit down for a few photos. Donald, who can only speak in totally hyperbolic terms, was effusive in his praise:
JUST IN: Trump tells the press the #TrumpKimSummit is “going great. A really fantastic meeting. A lot of progress. Really very positive. I think better than anybody could have expected. Top of the line. Really good.” https://t.co/072wqZFyqD pic.twitter.com/brHX6JmUFP

I quite like this nugget from that lunch:
Then they sat down for a signing sesh, which included Trump brushing off questions about Otto Wambier, the American student who was held by the North Korean government and returned to his family near-death, dying shortly afterwards:
President Trump and Kim Jong Un sign what Trump calls a “a very important document, a pretty comprehensive document” as Singapore summit comes to an end — the exact details are still unknown https://t.co/1TzM1xJwe7 pic.twitter.com/KUO2hLhONY

More praise for a man who runs prison camps and routinely starves his people whilst living a life of luxury.
From the UN inquiry into North Korea from back in 2014, chaired by Michael Kirby and reported by the Guardian:
…the testimony heard by the inquiry “was very similar to the testimony one sees on visiting a Holocaust Museum by those who were the victims of Nazi oppression in the last century” and that the “witnesses told their stories in a low key way, without exaggeration”.
[Kirby] also remarked on the “terrible situation in relation to food” and the “fact that, on figures that North Korea itself acknowledges, 27% of babies are born stunted”. He said international food aid would be available to prevent this, but “North Korea will not allow UN and private food donors to monitor the supply of food to needy people”.
Super talented guy, though:
Donald Trump on what he learned about Kim Jong Un at #TrumpKimSummit: “I learned he’s a very talented man. I also learned that he loves his country very much.” https://t.co/3wIUQv11tD pic.twitter.com/ho3FjepreJ

The main question revolves around whether or not North Korea will denuclearise, and Donnie seems confident that will happen:
President Trump says denuclearization in North Korea will begin soon: “We’re starting that process very quickly, very very quickly, absolutely” https://t.co/3tCmhkseT6 pic.twitter.com/CjgiyTSN5L

Lil Kim might be coming to America:
When asked if he will invite Kim Jong Un to the White House, President Trump replied “Absolutely I will” https://t.co/2DMLHjhWQN pic.twitter.com/Flt9BPOVwf

What a time to be alive.
Via the Guardian, things wrapped up around 8:10AM our time:
Trump and Kim have left Sentosa after the conclusion of the summit. The motorcades of the two leaders have left the resort island. Trump has said he will give a press conference later this afternoon, before departing Singapore at 7pm local time. He is expected to speak to the press alone.
We don’t know what time that press conference will take place, but you can bet the words “great”, “historic”, “fantastic”, “wonderful”, “talented” etc will be taken for a good spin.
