Oh dear, Vince. I know you know the five D’s to dodgeball, but I think remembering “don’t drink and drive” is far more important.

According to a report by CNN, the Dodgeball actor was arrested early on Sunday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence.

He had been stopped at a DUI checkpoint outside of Los Angeles between Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach around 12:30AM, according to Sergeant Matt Sabosky of the Manhattan Beach Police Department:

[Vaughn] was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence and for resisting, delaying or obstructing officers.

An unidentified male passenger traveling with Vaughn was also arrested on charges of obstructing officers and public intoxication. Additional details on the passenger were not immediately available.

Regarding the charge of resisting officers, Sergeant Tim Zins, another spokesman for the Manhattan Beach Police Department, offered clarification later Sunday. He said Vaughn wasn’t “fighting with officers, but more of delaying the investigation.”

No, Vaughn, stop trying to make “delay” the sixth D.

Anyway, he and his drunk buddy were taken to the Manhattan Beach Jail, and both were later released after posting bail, reports PEOPLE.
