Like many, we thought Tuesday might see Western Cape High Court Judge Siraj Desai hand down Henri van Breda’s sentencing.

We were wrong, because that court appearance saw an hour or so of back and forth between Henri’s defence and Judge Desai, before the latter announced that he would deliver his sentence at 10AM on Thursday.

Which is now, so let’s get ready to see how long the convicted triple axe murderer is going to spend behind bars.

Probably in the hospital section of Pollsmoor, given the alleged attack over the weekend.

I’m sure there will be appeal after appeal following today’s sentencing, but let’s strap in and watch the drama unfold.
