This is just awkward. Like, painfully awkward.
Kendrick Lamar went off on a white woman after she used the N-word while rapping one of his songs.
And it didn’t just happen once, oh no – it happened three times.
Damn. *Shakes head*
This is what went down, according to a news.au.com report: at a concert in Gulf Shores, Alabama, a fan – identified only as Delaney – was called on stage by Lamar, and offered the chance to rap his hit song, “M.A.A.D. City”.
A dream come true, but it went downhill from there when Delaney got to the chorus, which contains the N-word three times. That didn’t stop Delaney from singing it, though.
Needless to say, Lamar was not having it, as seen in this video (warning: explicit language):

RIP Delaney, indeed.
After apologising for the slip, because apparently she was “used to singing it like [Lamar] wrote it”, she asked to stay on stage. Lamar allowed her to remain so long as she left out the offensive word.
But then Delaney did it again. *Face-palms*
Not impressed, Lamar booted her offstage and continued the show like nothing happened.
Meanwhile, social media users became inflamed, divided on the incident that occurred. Some people are suggesting that the rapper was inviting controversy and publicity by getting a white fan on stage to sing his lyrics:
Yup, that’s what they’re seriously saying.
Meanwhile, others are saying that the N-word shouldn’t be said, period:
It’s a messy business.
But in the end, the bottom line is this: don’t be a dunce like Delaney.
