According to Metro, Bank Holiday travellers were stranded when an oxygen tanker crashed and burned on the M62 highway near Rochdale, Greater Manchester.
Mark Perry was travelling to Dorchester to watch a football match when he saw the lorry go up in flames:
We saw smoke and flames billowing from the tanker. When we came past, we saw it said ‘gases’ on the side so we were a bit concerned. Once we found out it was only oxygen, it wasn’t quite so bad but still obviously it’s very dangerous.
Bruh, it was so very dangerous that it forced the closure of both sides of the M62 highway for damn near THREE HOURS.
Three hours sitting in despicably hot temperatures? I wouldn’t have survived.
Driver Lily Willetts and her boyfriend were en-route to Blackpool when they got caught up in the massive tailbacks with other thousands of drivers. But instead of moping, Willetts whipped out her blanket, laid it on the road and soaked up the sun like a boss:
